Colour: Conker skin.
On the nose: Fresh and fruity, intense sweetness, with gentle but persistent baking spices, Danish pastry; the fruit is on the ripe side with cantaloupe melon, guava, and papaya.
In the mouth: Sweet and juicy, followed rapidly by spices. The wood spice tingles at the front of my tongue; ground ginger, white pepper, dried chilli heat, and then fruit and spices entwined in a warming way. Banana chilli peppers, a touch of strawberry, spun sugar. The finish is where this has most balance; spice and fruit that drifts into more vanilla, tannins, butterscotch, and a slight nuttiness.
