A delicious cask-strength single malt from Lindores Abbey, matured in a combination of bourbon, Monbazillac sweet wine, STR and sherry casks. Resulting in a rewarding silky profile, with honeyed stone fruit, spiced nuts, figs and dates. The black bottle is inspired by the tunic clothes allegedly worn by the monks who roamed the grounds of Lindores Abbey in 1494, including Brother John Cor, the monk who was commissioned to produce aqua vitae from malt in the first written reference to Scotch whisky! Bottled at a solid 60.2% ABV, with no added colouring or cooling filtration.
